Our data mining and process modeling capabilities provide deeper insights into business dynamics and identify areas of significant opportunities. Such analytics have also provided our clients with extensive what-if capabilities to redesign and re-evaluate their operational processes, manufacturing asset deployment decisions and customer service policies. Recommendations of these projects have ranged from business diagnostics to tailored technology developments; and during these engagements we have demonstrated the validity of our recommendations by helping our clients implement these recommendations and ensuring that the stated results are achieved. Some examples of these engagements areas are as follows:

A) For a large supplier and manufacturer of consumer products with multiple manufacturing locations and warehouses, we helped design customer order policies to improve their customer service metrics and to increase the utilization of cube space of their truck loads. This required identifying the ordering patterns of their customers, their product segmentations and product shipping practices. The recommendations detailed step-by-step plan of action to implement the ordering policy for each customer tier.

B) For a manufacturer with a portfolio of large number of promotional SKUs, we helped stabilize their forecasting process by identifying and segmenting customers and SKUs by the degree of variability induced by the SKUs into the forecast. This helped the client focus on their most chaotic SKUs and customers. The recommendations also helped the client establish collaborative forecasting practices with the customers who had the high degree of forecast errors.
